From The Orillia Packet and Times

Bryan McPherson of Los Angeles, a socially-active musician, is performing in Orillia, during his first Canadian mini tour.

The concert Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Artaban Hall is being organized by Stand Up! Orillia Against Bullying. Kevin Gangloff, director of the Orillia Youth Centre, is responsible for getting the singer-songwriter to Canada.

“I’ve seen Bryan perform numerous times. I like his message and I love his music. His ethics and what he stands for is similar to what Stand Up! stands for,” Gangloff said. “I begged him to come. I said, ‘You are coming close to Canada; you’ve got to come across the border.’”

McPherson agreed and will be performing in Toronto Sept. 13, at a private home Sept. 14 and in Orillia Sept. 15. Gangloff is hoping he will stay in town and visit an Orillia school the same day.
